Meet the PullnotPush Marketing Team

Dan Ronken

My name is Dan Ronken and I'm the CEO of PullnotPush Marketing located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our team helps businesses get found on the internet through the creation of a comprehensive inbound marketing strategy.

Prior to founding PullnotPush, I was the Host of Animal Planet Expo (a unit of Discovery Communications) for five years. As the Marketing and Brand Ambassador for the event, I was solely responsible for all activities on stage entertaining over 30,000 visitors per weekend. And in a previous life, I was the General Manager of a Colorado based B2B telecommunications company.

PullnotPush is a HubSpot Certified Partner and works exclusively with HubSpot customers. To become a certified partner, a business must complete the certification exam administered by HubSpot and prove proficiency in their entire inbound marketing methodology--a privileged few, indeed. We have helped many HubSpot customers manifest the promises of inbound marketing. This is all we do, and we do it well!

Jeff Machado from PullnotPushHey there! I'm Jeff Machado and I love getting down to the nitty gritty of what makes a business successful online.

When it comes to Internet marketing, I enjoy learning both the on stage elements like design and copywriting as well as the behind the scenes work such as strategy and delegation.

I'm excited to be a part of the PullnotPush team because it's my mission to help business owners to get clear on what marketing strategies are tried and true versus flash in the pan. That's why my main focus is helping business owners search for opportunities for content creation and then finding ways to share that content across the entire Internet to boost their search engine rankings.

Christine Fay at PullnotPushMy name is Christine Fay. I consider myself a jane-of-all-trades when it comes to internet marketing. Design, coding, copywriting, social media? Yes, they're all in my toolbox. Being a digital native, I am always eager to test the waters with the newest technologies and methodologies.

I keep my finger on the pulse of what's happening and keep these guys in check. Industry lines are beginning to blur with marketing, public relations, and web design.

I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of it as a member on the PullnotPush team and Inbound Marketing is the future indeed!

PullnotPush Alex BioMy name is Alex "Pixel Perfect" Berry and I'm the lead technical designer for PullnotPush. I'm originally from Atlanta, but I've lived in Boston for the past eight years and I absolutely love it.

My area of expertise is fitting great designs into working websites. I've been building remarkable websites since 1998, and it is truly my passion. HTML, CSS and Javascript are the sharpest tools in my bag and Photoshop and Illustrator are good friends of mine. My job is to bring the back end to the front of the room, and make it shine!

Through inbound marketing, I've learned to ‘let go' of control and gratefully help our clients (some who have zero technical experience) become the master of their own domain; and that brings me great satisfaction.

PullnotPush Sam Coren BioI’m Sam Coren, the project management maven at PullnotPush. Armed with a background in marketing in the music industry, I’ve seen first hand how the web has reshaped the world of marketing and connecting with fans. I’m a big believer in businesses developing their own identities and communities through blogging and social media the same way musicians have been doing so for years. Why should your web presence just end at company web page that resembles a brochure? There’s so much valuable information to gain just by being willing to interact with potential customers on the web and it’s also way more fun!

Being part of the PullnotPush team means I get to use my arsenal of web marketing skills such as copywriting, analytics analysis, landing page creation, and social media outreach to help our clients get results. You’ve got a goal? I’m going to help you figure out how to reach it.

PullnotPush Melissa SmalleyMy name is Melissa Smalley, and I'm the code creator and designer. I thrive on challenges, adventure, and variety; both at work and at home. I am an avid outdoors lady with a need for a mental challenge indoors.

I'm psyched to be a part of a company with a leading edge in such an exciting age of technology. The best part of my job is being able to apply my practices daily while continuously learning additional methodologies.

While not in my office I enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, and running. Want to discuss coding and design then reminisce on your last avid adventure? I'm game!

PullNotPush Tim StanskyI’m Tim Stansky and I make things work. Well, not “work” as in HTML or code, but I’m here to make things work for you. As Park Street Designs Business Development Manager, I work with businesses that see the power and potential in content and want a website that can harness it. Every business wants a site that conveys style and design, one that immediately connects with potential clients both on a visual and visceral level. Yet the site has to offer value, engage viewers and convert them to customers. There are big opportunities in building business as marketers and consumers migrate to the digital space for information and purchasing. To help you and your business achieve your goals, I draw upon my experience in business development for major market radio, print and television with retailers, service providers, manufacturers, consumer packaged goods companies and event marketers to help our clients grow.

PullNotPush Justin CambriaMy name is Justin Cambria, Client and Company marketing strategist here at PullnotPush. I'm a blogger and social media enthusiast. I joined PullnotPush because I'm interested in how businesses can cost-effectively and measurably harness the internet to rise above the miasma of cyber-noise, and build meaningful followings around the problems they solve. As a DJ in New York, I used message boards in the pre-facebook days to promote underground music events, and I was blown away by the potential of the internet to connect with people. Today, I fully believe in the power of inbound marketing to do all that interruption based advertising can't do anymore.

Personally, I'm an avid squash player, and a member of the Young Leadership Board at Squashbusters, a non-profit organization in Roxbury, MA. Other loves include golf, running, yoga (heated vinyasa flow at Prana), fishing on Cape Cod with my Dad and brothers, and my Rhodesian Ridgeback Josie. I'm quite into great food of all sorts, particularly pho bo, sushi, spaghetti carbonara, and pan seared rib eye. My main plan is to practice mindful, conscientious living each day, help who I can, and hurt no one.
