3 Ways To Use Trackur Social Media Monitoring For Inbound Marketing
Posted by Jeff Machado
I love finding new purposes for all the tools I find online. In the past, I've used Twitter to help me with my menu planning for the week. I used various blogs and videos to help me come up with lesson ideas for when I was teaching English in China. And now I've found some excellent uses for one of the most popular social media monitoring tools available - Trackur.
Here are some ways you can start to use Trackur for your Inbound Marketing efforts:
1. Ideas For Content Creation
One secret to successful blogging is creating your own content around current events in your niche. Every time you blog about something that is brand new, you are creating content around keywords that haven't been well optimized yet by your competition. In essence, every news event is a goldmine for potential #1 rankings in the search engines.
The only problem with this is that a standard Google search may not always net the most recent results. And the last thing you want to do is be blogging about yesterday's news in any industry that could possibly change overnight.
With Trackur, results show up practically real time. My post on using Delicious.com for content creation showed up within a few minutes of being published.
To use Trackur to help you come up with content ideas, find 2 or 3 of the latest results that come up using a keyword that relates to your business. If these articles have similar themes, compare those articles and add in your own commentary. In less than half an hour, you could have some valuable content on your blog that attracts website visitors wanting to know more about this current news topic.
2. Find Thought Leaders To Follow
It's not always easy to find the thought leaders and influencers in your niche. However, being successful in Inbound Marketing means engaging these leaders and influencers in conversation. They'll ultimately be the ones who can get the name out about your name, company, and products if handled properly.
Other methods will have you wasting a lot of time searching through blog directories looking for blogs and people who are talking about things that matter to your business.
Trackur allows you to sort your results by Influence. This Influence score is measured as a combination of links pointing to the blog, blog mention, traffic rank, and topic discussion. Chances are, if the blog post found in Trackur has a high Influence score, you have just found a blog you should be reading.
Doing this allows you to find out which blogs in your niche are active and are worth engaging. No longer do you have to sort through an ocean of dead blogs. You can go straight to engaging the bloggers who you must have a presence in front of.
3. Increase Your Inbound Links
Building incoming links is one of the most misunderstood aspects of Inbound Marketing. Anyone who knows about Inbound Marketing recognizes that you need a wealth of links pointing to your site in order to increase a website's ranking in Google. But actually getting those links is something that eludes business owners no matter how many times they attend a webinar on link building.
Incoming links come from building your presence on the web. Trackur is perfect for finding blogs to comment on and for finding opportunities to submit guest posts to high traffic sites. When you do this, link building becomes natural since you're starting conversations and finding people (including prospects and leads!) who will be interested to hear what you have to say.
Make this happen and the links will appear from all across the Internet.
