Meeting of the HubSpot Partner Minds

HubSpot Partner MeetingThe first 'unofficial' meeting of the HubSpot Partner Minds conference call took place last week and it feels like it's going to be the start of something big.

This first call was more representative of quality and not quantity -- I affectionately say that because there were just two of us on the initial call (myself, and the upcoming star partner, Murray Sye of Whitespace).

We didn't have a chance to reach out to all partners to invite them on the call, please consider this post an official invite for all existing (and potential) HubSpot partners who are interested in taking their inbound marketing agency to the next level. Our next call is scheduled for Tuesday 11/24/09 from 12PM to 1PM EST.

Collaboration certainly appears to be the wisest route to take when building a successful inbound marketing agency. I just saw a tweet yesterday from the original Trust Agent Chris Brogan stating, "Collaboration opportunities and personal network effectiveness are two goals to pursue 2nd only to your main business." We can kill both birds with this stone (disclaimer, no actual animals were harmed during the writing of this post, nor will there be any injured on the partner's call).

There has been a long held tradition of companies keeping their experiences locked away behind intellectual property protection. Now I'm not suggesting that companies should share their secret sauce, e.g., Google's (or HubSpot's) algorithms, Coke's recipe, Chia Pet's mysteriously miraculous growth formula, etc.

But what I do believe is that sharing best practices and insights amongst your peers in the field will make you all stronger and provide you with more tools to help serve your clients in the best way possible. And with that mindset, everybody wins.

Join us on Tuesday 11/24/09 at 12PM EST. Please leave a comment if you would like more details and I'll reach out to you. Thanks!

Wow, thanks so much for the invite; I will have my sidekick on with me on the next one as well. Thanks for the valuable info; I did not know we were having CCs. Great idea! I am reaching out to as many partners as I can over the coming days and weeks. I am going to take the partner test soon!

Tom,
Great to hear! Yes, we are just beginning these calls and we would love for you to join in. Best of luck on the test. It's certainly not a 'walk in the park,' but I know you'll do just fine!

Awesome! I appreciate the leadership role you're taking here, Dan.

We're moving as fast as we can to build an on boarding and training program for the next 1,000 HubSpot partners. There's a lot to do to make that really hum. And we frankly don't have enough time to spend 1:1 with all of the prospective partners who are interested.

Having partners that are neck deep in implementing HubSpot and inbound marketing for clients - who are willing to share best practices - is a HUGE help for me and for HubSpot.

I look forward to continuing to work together to change the way the world markets.

I'll forward this on to other partners to join you.

Derek,
I am looking forward to getting to know more of the partners and become a strong part of a group that makes everyone reach the next level. This should being an interesting group and I can't wait for the next meeting.

I'll talk to you then.

Dan,

This sounds great. Pete shot me a link and suggested I get involved. Would love to be part of this. Let me know how things are shaking out and what I can do to help carry the load.

This is getting really exciting folks! It seems our second call is poised for quadruple digit growth!
I may have to upgrade my 'GoTo Meeting' account to the webinar level now because my current package only holds up to 16 callers. :-)

Dan:

Appreciate your leadership on bringing the partners together. We are very close to taking our partner exam and would like to become active participants in any collaborative partner activity. MLT has been live on Hubspot for just about a month and already we are realizing exponential increases in our visitors and conversions. We want to hear what others are doing.

Dan: I am just at the beginning stages with Hubspot but very anxious to get up and going and as knowledgeable as possible. Pete Caputa suggested that I become part of your group. Please let me know when you are holding the next meeting.

Dan,
I saw the post title, said I'll "git-to-it", and clearly didn't. Thanks for the heads-up on the upcoming meeting. I just need to brush up a bit before I finally take the test. I think collaboration is the way to go...for me at least.

All right folks. I believe I have all of the emails and I just sent off the GoTo Webinar invite so let me know if you didn't receive it.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
