Missed Simple Branding Opportunity in Email Signature

One of my goals has been to minimize the amount of emails to sift through each day. However, that doesn't seem to be happening as of yet.

For way too long, I've had a standard email signature with a simple link to my site because I love simplicity. The problem lies with the fact that I was missing a huge opportunity to connect with new friends and business contacts because I didn't have my social media buttons readily available.

If you use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail!, or AOL Mail, there is an awesome Firefox plugin named Wisestamp that will accomplish the following:

  • Brand Logo in Signature at Bottom of Your Emails
  • Social Media Profile Buttons
  • Most Recent Blog Post

As a small business owner, it’s a wise idea to stamp your brand whenever and wherever possible. Of course, be careful to size your image appropriately. You don't want to overwhelm people and make it unattractive.

You can set it all up in just a few minutes. It looks something like this:

Thanks Dan, great info! I've been wanting to link to my social networks from my e-mail signature for a long time, but it always looks lame when I see a signature with a long list of text links. This is way cooler. Also, great job with the screencast!

Mari,
Health of it sounds more appealing than burning in flames down below. Sign me up!

Dan,
Yes, too many links and my eyes just glaze over. Wisestamp seems to work pretty slick. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Dan for this informative post!
A question: Does it only work with Firefox, or can I use Chrome as well?

Thanks!

Itai,

My understanding is it's only a firefox plugin.
I've attempted to use Chrome as my browser but keep reverting back to Firefox.
Once in a while I still need to open Explorer for one reason or another.

Hi Dan,

Will this also work for those of us still using Microsoft outlook?

Cheers,
