So finally the Myth of not saying Hello is over :))

Looking fwd to more videos...

PS: People at west coast are really friendly.. if you are walking with a straight face they will actually say " Cheer up or Smile "... This already happened 3 times with me ...

I guess i need to stop my thought process and smile more :)

Hi Aditi,

Thank you for your comments. That video sure was fun to create 'on the spot' and I look forward to creating more videos on this site. Of course they will be a blend of internet marketing strategy tips as well as some of this fun random stuff.

As long as you are not trying to sell something or beg for money, then most people will say hello. Was the camera behind you a concealed camera?

Hello Andrew,

Yes, I was happy to see that people actually did say hello or 'give a nod' on the streets of NYC. The small cam was held by an unassuming colleague of mine. I'm forever grateful to him for doing it because I kind of just sprung it on him as the idea popped into my head. :)

Great little experiment I commend you! I'm from NYC and can tell you the people there are some of the most friendly people you will meet. There are so many of them that they have to interact. :-) What would be really fun is to take your experiment one step further like Tim Ferris does in 4 hour work week and lie down on the street for 90 seconds. Then watch what happens....and film of course.
